Best Places to Relax at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Secret Fireplace Seating Area

If there’s one thing you need to do while you’re on vacation at Walt Disney World Resort, it’s find time to just relax! You know the routine – you’re always on the go, trying to make your ADR or your FastPass+ time, or rope drop.

But every now and then you just need to CHILL. And the Wilderness Lodge has some great places for that!

You can always find a nice spot to sit and people watch in the lobby. We love the seats near the fireplace – especially at night – but there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. So grab a snack from the Roaring Fork and relax.

If you’re looking for some “grownup” time, drop the kids at the Cub’s Den for a little while and stop by Artist Point for dinner or Territory Lounge for a drink and some pub grub! A nightcap at the Territory Lounge is our favorite way to end the day!

Of course you can also stop by the Trout Pass Pool Bar for a little bit of R-and-R paired with an adult beverage. It might be a bit nosier than the Territory Lounge, but we bet you could find a lounge chair with your name on it by the pool.

There’s a favorite spot that some guests don’t know about and that’s the “quiet areas” on each floor where you’ll find a fireplace and comfy chairs. These seating areas are a great place to enjoy your morning coffee and grab a few quiet moments.

And finally your room’s balcony is a great place to relax day or night. If you have a pool view room it might be a bit loud at times, but first thing in the morning when the resort is just waking up the balcony is a magical place.
